NEIGHBOURHOOD POLICING AND PREVENTION UPDATE Monthly Community Update from Sgt Tom GRACE – July 2026 I hope this message finds you well. As we move from July, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving. 🔍 Local Priorities Our current focus areas include: · All forms of community and neighbourhood ASB – e.g., Anti-social behaviour hotspots around North Dock, Ann Street, Trostre In addition to continued high visibility patrols, we receive support from HDPP Dog Unit. On Thursday 30th July Pc JONES and her Police Dogs Rogue and Smot assisted with patrols of Llanelli Town centre, Station Road and surrounding areas and North Dock · Road Safety issues – e.g., Speeding concerns raised near Station Rd, Chapman Street, Queen Mary's Walk to King George Avenue and the use of illegal E-Bikes and E-Scooters on Public Roads and Public spaces, particularly in the Penyfan, Station Road and North Dock Areas of Llanelli Llanelli NPPT are planning further “Days of Action” to target the illegal use of E-Bikes and Scooters on Roads and Public Places. We will be supported by HDPP Roads Policing Unit and also will be introducing new tactics to assist the detection of offenders · Identify and target drug dealing and drug use in the community – e.g., developing of intelligence and execution of search warrants If you know or suspect someone is involved in the use or supply of illegal drugs, You don't have to put up with it. Contact the police anonymously, information is gathered and supports a bigger picture to allow us to tackle offenders directly and robustly We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas, and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise. 🤝 Partnership Working We’ve been working closely with: · Transforming Tyisha Team – working with the community wardens and housing officers · Businesses / Retailers – Launch of SABB (Steal and Be Banned) continues with further businesses joining the scheme and also persons of interest receiving banning notices · Mental Health Services - supporting vulnerable persons . Joint visits with Fire Service to Premises of concern These collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs. 🧑🤝🧑 Community Involvement Thank you to everyone who’s taken part in: Your involvement makes a real difference.
